The origin of West Tampa Tobacco Company dates back to 1953. Founder Rick Rodriguez's grandparents, two highly respected Cuban cigar masters, left Havana for West Tampa, Florida, in search of opportunity. With hard work as their foundation, they never set aside their craft. This love for cigars skipped a generation and came alive in their grandson Rick. He studied under industry legends such as Benji Menendez, and after decades of dedication, became a cigar master in his own right. In 2022, Rick joined forces with his partner Gus Martinez to establish West Tampa Tobacco Company, crafting the finest handmade cigars with hard work, gratitude, and profound respect for tradition. The brand partners with top-tier factories in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, selects premium tobaccos from multiple countries, and has introduced the White, Black, Red, and Attic series, fully embodying the exceptional quality of West Tampa Tobacco Company.
